Synthesis of Novel Cyclodextrin Derivatives Having Oligosaccharide Cluster

A simple and facile method for the synthesis of novel 6persubstituted ?-cyclodextrin derivatives having a sugar cluster through a spacer arm is described. The coupling reaction of per6-iodo-?-CD with each derivative of D-galactose (Gal) or Nacetyl-D-glueosamine (GleNAc) smoothly proceeded and gave the corresponding cyclodextrin derivatives having seven sugar residues in excellent yields.
