Abstract :
The chemilumin escence (CL) arising from the reaction of bis (2,4, 6-trichlorophenyl)oxalate(TCPO) with hydrogen peroxide in the presence- of 7-anlino-4-methylcoumarin (coumarin120) has been studied. The CL characteristics of the system were studied in detail. The fluorescence and CL spectra were compared.The coumarin derivative used was found to actas a blue Fluorescer (F) in the Tepa chemilumin escence reaction. The relationship between the chemilumin escence intensity and concentration of TCPO, coumarin 120, hydrogenperoxide, and the base sodium salicylate are reported. The chemilumin escence parameters including intensity at maximum CL.time at maximum intensity, total light yield and pseudo first- order rate constants for the rise and fall of the CL burst (kr and kl) were evaluated fromI computer fitting of the resulting intensity-time lots.
