Abstract :
The Six-Days, Arab-Israeli War 1967 was a critical event in the context of the ArabIsraeli dispute. The impact ofthe war still remains today especially the changes in the geo-political structure of WestAsia. As one of the great powers, Britain played a vital role in this war; especially in tabling and sponsoring the peace plan at the United Nations - Resolution 242. Britain s involvement in the war jeopardized her military and strategic interest in the West Asia especially in the Arab countries. Therefore during the war and the peace process, Britain repeatedly declared to the world that London would apply a neutral policy. The main objective of this article is to analyze Britain sstrategic interest in West Asia during the 1967 Arab- Israel war, as well as the threat of Soviet influence in the region. This study casts doubt on the veracity of Britain 50 neutrality policy by considering the emergence of a political threat towards Britain s military and strategic interests in West Asia during the war. Thus, the victory of Israel in the war was very vital to preserve and protect Britain s strategic interest in the region since 1967.
