Interferon treatment for corneolimbal quamou dyplaia

Purpoe: To report a patient with corneolimbal quamou dyplaia uccefully treated with interferon therapy. Method: A 78-year-old man had a gelatinou and vacularized leion involving the left cornea and adjacent limbu. Impreion cytology tudied with periodic acid—chiff-hematoxylin tain dicloed evere quamou dyplaia. Topical intillation and ubconjunctival injection of interferon alpha-2b wa intituted. Reult: The gelatinou tumor ma involving the cornea and adjacent limbu completely reolved 2 month after interferon treatment. He howed no ign of recurrence during the 10-month follow-up. Concluion: Interferon therapy may be a therapeutic alternative for treating corneolimbal quamou dyplaia.
