Antithymocyte globulin treatment of orbital Wegener granulomatoi: a follow-up tudy

PURPOE: To decribe the follow-up of patient with orbital Wegener granulomatoi after antithymocyte globulin treatment. METHOD: Patient with ocular/orbital Wegener granulomatoi refractory to tandard treatment were elected for immunotherapy with rabbit antithymocyte globulin intravenouly. The pecific ocular/orbital ymptom were monitored in patient with a viion-threatening form of Wegener granulomatoi or a life-threatening form with ocular ymptom. REULT: One patient had a complete remiion, two patient had remiion but till needed additional treatment, and one patient remained refractory. CONCLUION: In elected patient, antithymocyte globulin immunotherapy may preent an alternative when viion or life i threatened by orbital Wegener granulomatoi.
