Pigmentary diperion yndrome induced by a poterior chamber phakic refractive len

PURPOE: To report a cae of bilateral pigmentary diperion yndrome (PD) induced by the implantation of poterior chamber phakic refractive lene (PRL). METHOD: Cae report. REULT: Following bilateral implantation of poterior chamber phakic refractive lene in 38-year-old woman, unilateral elevated intraocular preure (IOP) developed within month that wa attributable to pigment diperion within the anterior chamber. Finding conitent with PD included bilateral tranillumination defect of the iri in area contacting the anterior urface of the PRL, pigment depoit on the anterior urface of the PRL, Krukenberg pindle, and bilateral dene pigmentation of the trabecular mehwork. The patient’ IOP i preently under control and he ha not developed glaucomatou damage. CONCLUION: The development of PD in thi cae demontrate that poterior chamber phakic refractive lene can make contact with the poterior iri and induce pigment diperion yndrome in uceptible patient
