PURPOE: Report of a cae of acquired Brown yndrome caued by infetation of the uperior oblique mucle by Cyticercu celluloae. METHOD: Cae een in a referral practice. A 20-year-old man preented with recurrent attack of conjunctiviti and diplopia in upgaze. Clinical examination of ocular motility etablihed a diagnoi of acquired Brown yndrome of the right eye. Computed tomography of the right orbit unequivocally etablihed the diagnoi of uperior oblique mucle cyticercoi. The patient wa tarted on ytemic teroid and albendazole in the precribed doe for a month. REULT: erial computed tomography can of the orbit revealed reolution of the cytic leion after a month. Clinically, although there wa retoration of ocular motility in upgaze, mild retriction of movement of the right eye in levoelevation perited. However, the patient wa ymptomatically better with amelioration of the recurrent conjunctiviti and diplopia in primary gaze. CONCLUION: Extraocular mucle cyticercoi hould be conidered in the differential diagnoi of acquired motility diorder.
