Reactivation of herpe implex viru keratiti after initiating bimatoprot treatment for glaucoma

PURPOE: To report a cae of herpe implex viru reactivation after tarting bimatoprot treatment for glaucoma. DEIGN: Interventional cae report. METHOD: A 66-year-old woman had a herpe implex keratouveiti reactivation that occurred within 1 month after tarting bimatoprot. The herpe implex had been inactive for more than 10 year. REULT: Bimatoprot and predniolone acetate 0.12% were dicontinued; oral acyclovir, ofloxacin, and betaxolol 0.25% were initiated. Two week later, predniolone acetate 1% wa added. The reactivation reolved, and 1 month later, the bet corrected viual acuity improved to 20/40. CONCLUION: Caution hould be ued in precribing bimatoprot for patient with a hitory of herpe implex viru keratiti.
