Multifocal electroretinography repone after laer photocoagulation of a ubretinal nematode

PURPOE: To decribe multifocal electroretinography finding before and after laer photocoagulation of a ubretinal nematode in diffue unilateral ubacute neuroretiniti. METHOD: Obervational cae report. A 45-year-old woman with left eye inflammation, ubretinal tract uperior and temporal to the fovea, and a ubretinal coiled mobile paraite wa treated with laer photocoagulation to detroy the nematode. Multifocal electroretinography wa performed before and after laer photocoagulation. REULT: In the left eye, multifocal electroretinography before treatment howed decreaed foveal repone denity and increaed parafoveal and perifoveal waveform amplitude. Two month after laer photocoagulation, multifocal electroretinography howed full recovery of normal finding and the viual acuity remained 20/20. CONCLUION: Multifocal electroretinography appear to be ueful in evaluating the retinal finding after photocoagulation of a paraite aociated with diffue unilateral ubacute neuroretiniti
