An Agent-Based Framework for E-Commerce Information Retrieval Management Using Genetic Algorithms

The paper addresses the issue of improving retrieval performance management for retrieval from document collections that exist on the Internet. It also comes with a solution that uses the benefits of the agent technology and genetic algorithms in the process of the information retrieving management. The most important paradigms of information retrieval are men-tioned having the goal to make more evident the advantages of using the genetic algorithms based one. Within the paper, also a genetic algorithm that can be use for the proposed solu-tion is detailed and a comparative description between the dynamic and static proposed solu-tion is made. In the end, new future directions are shown based on elements presented in this paper. The future results look very encouraging.
