A review study on Hottentotta Birula, 1908, (Scorpionida:Buthidae) species collected from Iran

هوتنتوتا يكي از متنوع‌ترين جنس‌هاي خانواده بوتيده است كه گونه‌هاي آن داراي گسترش جهاني بوده و از نقاط مختلف آفريقا و آسيا گزارش شده است. به تازگي كوواريك (2007) اين عقرب را در نقاط مختلف دنيا مورد مطالعه مجدد قرار داده و 29 گروه گونه‌اي را در زير مجموعه اين جنس گزارش نموده است. عقرب هوتنتوتا يكي از شش عقرب مهم از نظر پزشكي در ايران مي‌باشد كه تقريبا در تمام نقاط كشور گسترش دارد. در اين مقاله با ذكر ويژگي‌هاي ريخت شناسي و ريخت سنجي شش گونه عقرب هوتنتوتا در كشور به ذكر راه‌هاي تشخيصي اين عقرب پرداخته مي‌شود.

Hottentotta is one of the most widely distributed genera of the family Buthidae, with species present throughout Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, and in Asia to Pakistan and India. Recently, Kovarik (2007) revised genus of Hottentotta in the world and reported 29 different species-group name in the genus of Hottentotta. Hottentotta is one of the six medical important scorpions of Iran that distributed in almost all parts of country. So, in this article morphological and morphometrical characters of six species of Hottentotta for better distinguishing have been described.
