  • Abstract
    ABSTRACT: This study examines the relationship between philosophical mentality of managers and creativity and innovation among high school teachers. The research method was descriptive and co-relational and its statistical population was composed of all teachers (400 persons) and Principals (100 persons) of high schools in Bisetoon. 174 teachers and 43 principals were selected using stratified random sampling and Morgan table. Also, Komeili-e-Asl’s philosophical mentality questionnaire, Abedi’s Creativity Questionnaire, Saatchi’s Innovation Questionnaire and researcher-made questionnaire were used to collect demographic data.Face and content validity of the questionnaires were realized after having the opinions of experts and their reliability was calculated as0.85, 0.77, 0.80, respectively using Cronbachʹs alpha coefficient. Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regressions were used in order to analyze data. Based on the findings, Philosophical mentality of principals and innovation and creativity of teachers are desirable. Also philosophical mentality and its dimensions(apprehensiveness, contemplation, flexibility) have a positive correlation with creativity. There is also a significant positive correlation between philosophical dimensions(apprehensiveness, contemplation, flexibility) innovation. Based on the results of this research, philosophical mentality and its dimensions are significant predict for the creativity and innovation.
