Abstract :
Some general properties of the linear Boltzmann kinetic equation are used to present it in the form ∂t = −†  with the operators  and † possessing some nontrivial algebraic properties. When applied to the Keilson-Storer kinetic model, this method gives an example of quantum (q-deformed) Lie algebra. This approach provides also a natural generalization of the “kangaroo model”.
