Abstract
Toinvestigatethermal–hydrauliccharacteristicsofasteam–gaspressurizerintheintegraltypereactor,thesteam–gaspressurizermodelbasedonthetwo-regionnonequilibriumconceptwasdevelopedandintroducedintoRETRAN-3D/INTcode.Themodelincludesanexplicitsolutionmethodfortheone-dimensionalgoverningequationsandtheequationofthestatesolutionmethodtodeterminethethermal–hydraulicstateofthesteam–gaspressurizervolume.Inaddition,thewallcondensationmodelbasedonthediffusionlayermodelingwasincludedtoconsidertheeffectofthenoncondensablegas.ThedevelopedmodelwasverifiedwiththeresultsfromthepressurizerinsurgeexperimentconductedatMassachusettsInstituteofTechnology.Fromtheverificationresults,itwasconcludedthatthedevelopedsteam–gaspressurizermodelcansufficientlypredictthepressurizertransientanditcanbeusedasacomponentmodeloftheone-dimensionalsystemcodebasedonthehomogeneousequilibriummodel.
