AI(HS04 )s as an acidic salt, i.e. a mild, convenient and efficient reagent, was applied for
the conversion of compounds containing a hydroxyl group to primary carbamates, at room
temperature, with high yield and purity and without any epimerization, under solvent-free
conditions
