mole potlent who p resented with clinica l fea tures of a left cerebella-pontine
on Ie ass Iesion and CT see n find ings mimicking the diagnosis of an epidermoid
c:ys. However intraop rat ive and histop hological find ing s were suggestive of a
lo r cystic acoustic schwonncmo. We hove al so analyzed the chcrocterlsf ,
clinic I sympt o s end radiolog ical I ding s of the se tumors. In the presence of a
orge cystic cerebellop ontl c an g le tumor without a signifi cant hearing lo ss an d no
destruction of I e Internal audito ry canal, the possibility of the cystic acou stic
neurl orne should b e c sldered.
