Contemporary Rhetorical Perspectives to Persuasion: Presentation and Criticism

Since its inception in the Greek period, the rhetorical theory has undertaken a multiplicity of paths. Although it has been discarded at times, its resurrection in the twentieth century has given rise to diverse theories, whose cruxes differ entirely from the one established by Aristotle. In this paper, I intend to supply critical snapshots of only the contemporary rhetorical theories which still maintain the original object of study of rhetoric: persuasion.
