Monica Ali s In the Kitchen: Human Trafficking or Modern Slavery as a Human Rights Issue

In her novel, In the Kitchen (2009), Monica Ali investigates one of the pressing socio-political issues in contemporary time: trafficking in human beings or modern slavery. The urgency of this issue in recent years stems from the fact that it is more attached to the globalization of world economy which comes as a consequence of international politics.
