Some of acrylamide copolymers were used to mercury removal from aqueous solutions of HgCl_2. The uptake capacity of these prepared copolymers was calculated. The prepared copolymers were identified spectroscopicaly using infrared spectroscopy, the analysis of the resulting treated HgCl_2 solution to know the Hg (II) concentration was obtained by using atomic absorption.
