الجهل بالدين واثره في ظاهرة الخروج في تاريخ المسلمين

The aim of this research is to clarify the impact of ignorance of religion in the emergence of sects and heresies in the history of Muslims. The research has clarified the meaning of ignorance of religion, which is represented in adopting the phenomena of texts without regard to other texts, and in limiting them to the Holy Qur’an without referring to the pure Sunnah. Then the research also clarified the meaning of the term (Khawarij) and (Exodus) and the historical reasons for it represented in: caliphate, interpretation, and asabiyya. Then the research indicated to the approach of the Kharijites in understanding the texts, and that they took the rulings from the Holy Qur’an without referring to the Sunnah of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, which led them to make terrible mistakes. Then the research concluded with the impact of this external approach on contemporary life in the emergence of some groups that adopted the approach of the Kharijites, such as: the Takfir wa al-Hijra group, the Abdul Rahman al-Khulaifi group, and finally the organization (ISIS). Among the findings of the research is that the Exodus is a general phenomenon that existed during the era of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the Rightly Guided Caliphs after him and in all ages. and that this phenomenon is old and renewed, it appears when certain circumstances are available related to Muslim societies, and other circumstances related to those extremist groups from adopting the phenomena of the texts without understanding the Sunnah of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. Hence, the study recommends scholars, preachers, institutions and universities to spread the legal knowledge from the Book of God Almighty and the Sunnah of His Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace.
