هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تعرف الفروق عبر الثقافية بين طلبة المرحلة الثانوية للطلبة الهنود والطلبة العرب ممثلين بالمدرسة الهندية الخاصة ومدرسة السلطان الخاصة. تكونت عينة الدراسة من 219 طالبا وطالبة منهم 111 طالبا هندياً و108 من الطلاب العمانيين، ويبلغ عدد الذكور 112 طالبا بينما يبلغ عدد الإناث 89 طالبة و18 طالبا لم يحددوا جنسهم، وتضم العينة 54 طالبا وطالبة في الصف الحادي عشر و165 طالبا وطالبة في الصف الثاني عشر. وقد استخدم لهذه الغاية مقياس النضج المهني، الذي يتكون من خمسة محاور هي: اتخاذ القرار، والتحضير، والاستقلال، ووضع الأهداف، والثقة. واستخدمت المتوسطات الحسابية والانحرافات المعيارية للإجابة عن السؤال الأول ما الفقرات الأكثر أهمية بالنسبة للطلبة العرب والهنود على مقياس النضج المهني؟ وقد كانت النتائج متقاربة من حيث ترتيب الفقرات حسب أهميتها. كما أوضحت نتائج اختبار (ت) عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائياً بين متغيري الجنس والثقافة والنضج المهني، في حين أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق دالة إحصائياً لصالح الصف الثاني عشر. وتوصي الدراسة بضرورة قيام المرشدين بمساعدة الطلبة خاصة. كما توصي بضرورة تركيز واضعي المنهاج على اتخاذ القرارات المتعلقة بالمهن. وكذلك الحال بالنسبة لواضعي المنهاج للتركيز على المعلومات المهنية والتي بدورها تعمل على زيادة النضج المهني للطلبة والأخذ بعين الاعتبار عملية الفروق الثقافية بينهم. This study aimed to identify the cross-cultural differences between secondary school students for Indian students and Arab students, represented by the Indian Private School and the Sultan Private School. The sample of the study consisted of 219 male and female students, including 111 Indian students and 108 Omani students. The number of male students is 112, while the number of female students is 89 and 18 male students did not specify their gender. The sample includes 54 male and female students in the eleventh grade and 165 male and female students in the twelfth grade. For this purpose, the professional maturity scale was used, which consists of five axes: decision-making, preparation, independence, goal setting, and confidence. Arithmetic averages and standard deviations were used to answer the first question, What are the most important items for Arab and Indian students on the professional maturity scale? and professional maturity, while the results showed that there were statistically significant differences in favor of the twelfth grade.The study recommends the need for counselors to help students in particular.It also recommends that the curriculum developers focus on making decisions related to professions.The same is true for the curriculum developers to focus on professional information, which in turn works on Increasing the professional maturity of students and taking into account the process of cultural differences between them (published abstract)
