guarantee plant agreed production capacity, product quality, and reduction production costs and therefore increase company competitive advantage in the world markets. 2) The most importantchallenges to successful implementation of IT projects are changing plant working culture, selectingsuitable system, developing equipments database, and integrating maintenance with other systems. 3) CMMS needs to integrate with other systems in order to exchange data. It is required that beforeimplementing CMMS this condition to be provided. Establishing an ERP system for whole companycan be the best solution. This eliminates variety of installed IT systems i.e. insular approach. 4) Astrong project management is needed with full authority to complete project on time. The projectshould be introduced well to all company in order to get their support. A series of efforts should beimplemented in order to change traditional maintenance culture, e.g. distributing papers, booklets or
participating in seminars or training classes.
