Nowadays environmental pollution abatement by natural adsorbent is becoming more important. Most organic compounds are resistant to conventional chemical and biological treatment. For this reason, other methods are being studied as alternative to the biological and classical physicochemical
processes [1,2]. The purpose of this research was to study the bromothymol blue (BTB) removal by using modified nano Clinoptilolite by ion exchange process with Zn(NO3)2.6H2O from aqueous solutions. On the other hand, advanced photochemical oxidation (APO) process ( UV/ZnO/Nano-CP) was used in lab-scale experiments for the degradation of bromothymol blue in an aqueous solution. The prepared nano zeolite by mechanical process was analyzed using Xray diffraction (XRD) and SEM. In the investigation of the effect of experimental parameters, the optimum conditions were obtained at a pH value of 8, amount of 0.1 g/L of catalyst, contact time 240 minutes with 4 mg/L of pollutant. ZnO/nano-Clinoptilolite can be used effectively in removing BTB. Also, due to the low price of the clinoptilolite and its simple modification, it can be used to remove hazardous materials in water and wastewater
