The main goal of this paper is to design a decentralized sliding mode controller for fractional order large-scale systems in the presence of uncertainties and interconnections. First, a novel integral sliding manifold is proposed. Afterwards, a new fractional-order sliding mode control law is introduced to guaran- tee the convergence of the sliding motion. Practical stability of the closed-loop system is fullled under the assumption that uncertainties and interconnections among the subsystems are bounded with known upper bounds. Computer simulations present the performance and efficacy of the suggested controller.
