Let A be a Banach algebra and X be a Banach A−module with the left and right module actions
πℓ and πr, respectively. Then the nth dual Xn of X as an A−module is equipped with the natural left and right module actions πℓn and πrn. It is known that if πrn is Arens regular then so is πr n-2 is Arens regular.We give an example of an Arens regular Banach A−module whose third adjoint is not Arens regular.
