A serial module is a module that is a direct sum of uniserial modules. In this article n-serial modules, where n is a positive integer, are defined and studied. A right K¨othe ring is a ring R such that each right R-module is a direct sum of cyclic submodules. It is shown that Mm(R) is a right K¨othe ring if and only if, for some n, every right module is n-serial module if and only if R is a pure semisimple ring.
