This study investigated the relationship between code switchingand students’ proficiency level. To this end, 11 EFL teachers who had experience in both elementary and intermediate level with the age between 25 to 33 were selected as main sample size from Unique Institute. In order to collect the data, the class activities at both levels were recorded. According to the checklist description the number of code-switching was recorded. To analyze the data chi-square followed by Eta test was run to determine the extent to which these two variables were related. The results revealed that there is statistically significant relationship between code switchingand the EFL learners’ proficiency level and the null hypothesis of the study was rejected. The findings of the present study may be beneficial for different Institutes, teachers and other organizations who are involved in EFL teaching and learning.
