زندگي در طبيعت و همراهي طبيعت و انسان از ديرباز در زندگي بشر وجود داشته است و حتي در زمان گسترش شهرنشيني ساختمان¬هايي با حياط هاي بزرگ و سرسبز همراه هميشگي انسان بوده است. افزايش جمعيت، ايجاد ساختمان¬هاي مختلف و عدم تناسب آن¬ها با محيط زيست و طبيعت، موجب تغيير و برهم زدن شرايط طبيعي و تعادل زيستي در بسياري از نقاط جهان شده است. لذا توجه به كيفيت محيطي فضاهاي شهري از مؤلفه هاي مهم و كليدي در رسيدن به منظر شهري پايدار به شمار مي رود. در واقع ايجاد محيطي زيبا و سرزنده در شهرها همواره از دغدغه هاي اساسي طراحان شهري و معماران و روانشناسان محيطي بوده است. استفاده از ظرفيت‌هاي موجود در ايجاد فضاي سبز شهري در جداره ساختمان¬ها، مي‌تواند در جهت كمك به محيط زيست محل زندگي خود اثربخش باشد. با ايجاد فضاي سبز در منازل مردم مي‌توان بسترهاي لازم را براي ارتقاي سطح روحيه آن‌ها را فراهم كرد؛ لذا در اين پژوهش به بررسي و تحليل سيماي شهر قزوين پرداخته شده است. روش تحقيق برپايه مطالعات اسنادي و به صورت توصيفي تحليلي مي¬باشد و در نهايت راهكارهايي جهت بهبود سيماي شهر ارائه شده است.
