Plain weft knitted and plain woven glass fabric reinforced polyester composites are studied in this paper. The compression properties of the multi-layer fabric reinforced composites are characterized in the course and wale directions. Experimental results show that compressive strengths in the course direction are more than that of the wale direction. Also, compressive strength of woven fabric composite was more than that of the knitted fabric. Finally, compressive stress-strain curves for all samples is linear, and slightly non-linear in the ultimate stress and strain.
