The current study is validation of active braking for A-double long vehicle combination. The experimental investigation was done in University of Michigan. In order to improve the high-speed lateral performance, differential braking for converter dolly is proposed, and the corresponding controller is designed. The nonlinear model of the vehicle system is constructed in TruckSim. A co-simulation with Matlab/Simulink is carried out to integrate the fuzzy logic controller. Results showed improvement in lateral performance and reduction of rearward amplification.
