In the recent years, with increased attention to repair and maintenance in various industries, Structure Health Monitoring (SHM) by the use of Ultrasonic Guided Waves Propagating method attracted the attention of many researchers. SHM is one of the most critical tools for assessment and assurance of the health of structures and buildings. Over the last decade, many researches are done in order to implement and develop the application of SHM to detect the defects in mechanical, aerospace and civil structures. Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) is one of the best methods in SHM, which is used to diagnose the location and damage scale in structures. In this paper the numerical simulation and experimental tests of defect detection process on an Aluminum plate is presented. Signal Difference Coefficient (SDC) index and Reconstruction Algorithm for Probabilistic Inspection of Defects (RAPID) algorithm are used in experimental test to locate the defect.
