Due to the crucial role of strategic THz frequency range (0.1-1) in fingerprint recognition of different materials, manufacturing devices operating within this range seems really significant. As many natural materials have no electromagnetic response in terahertz frequency range, a lot of terahertz devices are made of artificial materials capable of engineering EM wave circuit.
In this study, we proposed a novel structure using electromagnetic waves absorbers based on metamaterials, in the terahertz frequency range (0.1-1). Recent advances in metamaterials (MMs) research have highlighted the possibility to create special windows in this range such as (0.2 - 0.6 - 0.8) terahertz has been substantially approved, in particular, to detect explosives and diseases such as cancer. Simulation results illustrate flexible performance in these windows and offer a compatible structure in any desired windows within the terahertz range (0.1-1) regardless of different dielectric thicknesses and incidence angle of electromagnetic waves which do not have a considerable impact on frequency shift in specific windows in the above range.
