Quantom Dots (QDs) are nanocrystals with core-shell structure which is favorite in cell tracking in vitro and in vivo because of their optical and physical charectristics [1]. However, due to its high stability in living organisms, concerns about their toxicity is arised [2,3] . In the previous study we showed that CdTe QDs can affect the steroid biosynthesis, steroid hormone biosynthesis and bile amino acid biosynthesis pathways in mice. The samples in previous study was the plasma of affected mice with different doses of CdTe QDs. This study aimed to evaluate effects of CdTe on metabolic profiles of rats in compare with control group. firstly, water-soluble CdTe ODs capped with MSA were synthetized via colloidal synthesis method. After characterization by Flourimetery, UV-vis and TEM, CdTe were delivered into rats via IP injection. Kidney and liver of rats were isolated after 12 and 72 hours and following tissue extract preparation, NMR spectra of organ samples were recorded. Then the data were analysed applying chemometrics methods and the metabolites were found from human metabolome data base (HMDB) [4]. The results obtainrd from MetaboAnalyst database showed that steroid hormone biosynthesis, steroid and bile acid biosynthesis pathways are among most important affected biochemical pathways. In the linr with previous study, our study showed that steroid hormones, especially sex-related hormones, are aming the most important affected pathways. So, it seems nanoparticle toxicity in reproductive and endocrine system shoud be considred.
