In order to learn and teach English, learners and teachers employ various kinds of methods, techniques, instruments and procedures. Amid them utilizing Computer-assisted Language Learning (CALL) is significantly growing. Though Internet for educational use has not found a high position and many schools have limited use of computers, it is clear that technology and TEFL will have more connections in this new information age. Therefore, teachers need to seek variety and innovation in their teaching process. By the advancement of technology, great numbers of the learners possess smart phones and have access to social networks such as Telegram, LINE, and IMO. Through online discussions in groups for the learners outside the classroom, it is hoped that they achieve a good level of fluency in their speaking and let the communication go smoothly. The current study aims at exploring the effects of using social networks on Developing EFL Learners’ Pragmatic Competence through Speaking Accuracy and Fluency. To this purpose, 60 homogenous participants, whose English language proficiency was checked by an OPT were randomly assigned into two groups: the Experimental Group (EG), and the Control Group (CG) each with 30 participants. The experimental group used Telegram and the control group received the traditional instruction in speaking which lasted for six weeks. The results of Independent Sample T-test revealed that the experimental group outperformed significantly the control group in speaking accuracy and fluency.
