In this study adsorption capacity of metakaolin was investigated through removal of textile dye from aqueous solution. For this purpose, kaolin was dehydroxylated via endothermic process at 600 ºC. The obtained metakaolin was characterized by particle size analysis (PLS) to determine average particle size. The effect of adsorbent dosage on removal efficiency was studied. Different dosage from 1 to 20 g/l was applied for adsorption process. The results showed that 5 g/l is the best dosage of metakaolin. At the same adsorbent concentration metakaolin shows higher adsorption capacity than raw kaolin.
