The main objective of this research was to study the relationship between Multiple Intelligence and translation quality. The present study uses an integrated approach and it is conducted using integration of two research methods, i.e. qualitative and quantitative methods. Participants who took part in this research were female and male senior students of English translation studies at M.A level of Azad University of Tabriz branch and Nabyi Akram University in 2015 (N=65, Islamic Azad=40, Nabeye Akram=25). The sample of this research consisted of 49 senior students of English translation studies field at M.A level of Islamic Azad University of Tabriz branch and Nabyi Akram University selected through Cochran s formula by the stratified sampling method. House TQA Model was used to assess translation quality and Gardner multiple-intelligence questionnaire was used as instrument to analyze the multiple intelligence of subjects. The validity of this questionnaire was confirmed by related experts and the reliability of the questionnaire is tested using Cronbach Alpha (0.911). To collect data related to translation quality, firstly, the chosen translation text of the grapes of Wrath by beck including 156 words was provided to participants and they were asked to translate it during 20 minutes. They were allowed to use from some dictionaries. In the same session and after short breaks, an MI Gardner questionnaire was administered to specify the participants’ profiles. The time allocated for was 20 minutes. Pearson correlation coefficient, regression and independent t tests were used to analyze data using SPSS software version 18. Results showed that among multiple intelligence components, the verbal/linguistic, visual/spatial and body variables significantly related to translation quality. Also, results showed that there is significant difference between translation qualities of students based on gender.
