بناهاي تاريخي سند زندگاني گذشته ملتها هستند و يادگار به جا مانده از فرهنگ و تمدنهاي پيشين اما اكنون خسته از گذر زمان و زخمي از تبديل سيستم سنتي گذشته به زندگي هاي مدرن و بي هويت امروز، با چنين سرعتي كه مدرنيته، پست مدرن و … جوامع امروز را تحت تاثير قرار داده و به مقصدي نامعلوم مي برند منطقي است ميراثي را كه از گذشته به ارث برده ايم به عنوان مدرك و شاهدي زنده نگه داريم تا حداقل نمونه هايي از جهت ارائه به نسل هاي آينده، داشته باشيم. بافت تاريخي تبريز شامل كليه موارد معماري و شهر سازي صورت گرفته در قبل از پنجاه سال گذشته مي باشد و يكي از پر شكوه ترين بافتهاي كهن ايران زمين بوده بطوريكه گوشه اي از آن كه بنام محور تاريخي فرهنگي تبريز مطرح است بعنوان يك پروژه بزرگ ملي در سازمان ميراث فرهنگي و گردشگري كشور مطرح بوده است. هدف موزه و نمايش، ايجاد تسهيل تماس مستقيم بين فرد و شي است، آنچه مسلم است موزه تنها وسيله ارتباط عيني نيست، بلكه هدف اساسي آن القا تأثير فرهنگي و هنري و ايجاد رابطه بصري از طريق برخورد مستقيم با اشياء دوبعدي به صورت رويارويي يك جهت با اشياء سه بعدي از راه برخورد چند جهت است. اين تحقيق به شيوه توصيفي و تحليلي و از نوع مطالعات عملي و كاربردي است كه مبتني بر مطالعه، كارهاي انجام شده، تحقيق ها و پايان نامه هاي به روز و تجزيه و تحليل آن ها مي¬باشد و تلاش شده تا در انتهاي كار ماحصل يافته¬ها با نگاهي نوين و در قالب يك طرح كاربردي ارائه گردد.
