Today with advances in science and technology, new technologes must be able to develop in sight of executives at all levels and areas. In this regard GIS is formed to provide the power of analysis, maintenance, updates analysis composition, preparation and management of large volumes of geographic data output. This is analytical descriptive study. Therefore, in the this study, with reference to internal and external databases the functional items in the field of geographic information systems are extracted and finally practical solutions was deduced to prepare The application of this system in educational and curriculum management. this system is applied for many purposes such as scientific research, management of resources, and developmental planning. But unfortunately, there has been little attention to use this technology in promoting education. This study was carried out to learn more about GIS and its wide application, particularly in education. In this regard, first we attended to exploring how to use GIS in simple language. Then by analytical descriptive method modern applications of this system in education were explained in to two categories, in curriculum (conten and teaching method) and educational administration.
