The public space of residential area is an important part of urban public space, which is closely related to the daily life of residents, and the higher publicness can effectively improve the living quality of public space in residential areas. This article selects the rose blocks in Wuhan city as the research object, evaluate and analysis the publicness of public space in the rose blocks with the help of Depthmap tools and investigation statistics. This paper aims to explore the influence factors of the public space of residential area from the structure of public space and five dimensions of star evaluation model, to provide beneficial guidance and reference for residential public space.
