In this work, dialdehyde cellulose (DAC) was synthesis by sodium periodate (NaIO4) that works as a strong oxidant. The Schiff base ligand was synthesized via condensation reactions of periodate oxidized extracted cellulose and 9-amino acridine. Molybdenum complex of this biomicrocomposite with silver was used as a heterogeneous catalyst for oxidation of alcohols.
