Incorporating Relay Coordination in the Reliability Evaluations

n this paper, an algorithm is proposed to find the reliability indices for the results of different overcurrent relay coordination methods. The proposed algorithm is applied to the results of two different relay coordination methods of a sample network. Then, the reliability indices SAIFI, ENS, CAIDI and CAIFI for the results of different relay coordination methods are compared. From that, it is shown that how the results of relay coordination methods affect the reliability indices. Key-words: Overcurrent relay, Relay coordination, Reliability indices, Sequential Monte Carlo.
