(DME) production from syngas in industrial scale. For this purpose, the applied design principles
in similar industrial reactors are considered, and also, a one-dimensional steady-state
homogeneous model is used to simulate the reactor. The simulation results show that the designed
reactor can produce the same amount of DME (2416.1 kmol/hr) as the industrial reactor one which
operates based on indirect process, and at the same time the proposed reactor is more economical
owing to its smaller initial investment and higher reaction conversions.
