In the present study modeling of reaction kinetic for methanol dehydration to dimethyl ether, using
modified gamma alumina by 1wt% BaO as the reaction catalyst, have been presented. The
modified catalyst was prepared in the previous work by Safaee et. Al. The operating temperature
range was between 260-290 ºC and the pressure was 1 bar. Catalysts activity and kinetic
measurements were carried out using a catalytic fixed bed microreactor.
