The intent of this study was to investigate thephase separation of Cyanoacrylate-POSS Nanocomposites.
Adhesives containing 2-octyl cyanoacrylate (2-OCA) and different percentages of POSS nanostructures
as crosslinking agent were prepared. 1-phenyl-1, 2-propanedione (PPD) was incorporated as photoinitiator
into the adhesive in 4 wt.%.
DMTA and TGA techniques were utilized. The results indicated that the sample containing 40 wt.%
POSS showed phase separation confirmed by AFM and EDAX.
