In the present work, highly cross-linked, PAA particles were prepared under various process
(batch and semi-batch process). Types of process affects very strongly on network strength. The
rheological method was used to determine the strength of swollen gel. Measuring storage modulus
(G') and loss modulus (G') were carried out at constant frequency and in a range of strains (0.001-
200 Pa). Furthermore, G' and G" were obtained at constant strain over a range of frequencies (0.1-
100 Hz). Improving strength of network observed when sample prepared via the batch process.
Finaly, the rotational viscosity was used to determine thickening properties and the pseudoplastic
behavior of samples. The semi-batch process has a good effective on increasing viscosity as
compared batch process.
