Gas condensate reservoirs suffer losses in Condensate Recovery and well productivity due to near
wellbore condensate dropout when the flowing bottom-hole pressure declines below the dew point
pressure. Pressure maintenance and gas cycling are the common practices used in the oil and gas
field to alleviate this problem and develop gas condensate reservoirs.
In this study by swelling test and constant volume depletion test in the reservoirs that gas injection
recycling is done, the best type of fluid injection for increasing recovery are examined. In this
study injection in PVT Cell, and on the field current fluid are tested with three injection gas CO2,
N2 and separator gas in the injection volumes 250, 500, 750, 1000, 1500, 2000 (Scf).
Consequently CO2 is the best gas and after it separator gas, and then N2 are caused decreasing gas
condensate, That the decreasing condensate being due to the direct effect of gas injection on the
fluid properties, while, this result may with injection of the three gas in porous media is different
because Diffusion effects and also influence of porous media on the increasing pressure process.
Also according to the results of this study that shows CO2 is effective gas injection from the three
gas injection was chosen in addition to, it being the most effective in decreasing gas condensate in
PVT Cell, regarding the negative effect of CO2 emissions from power plants and refineries in
global warming, it could be considered as one of the most important options of injecting in gas
condensate reservoirs in the future.
