Chomsky is one of the most prominent contemporarylinguistic scholars, who, according to many scholars has revolutionized linguistics. Since 1957when his ideas were originally proposed, there have been some changes in his theories. This article states Chomsky’s ideas and opinions by bringing an increased focus into words. The primary consideration in this article is taken into his original views in comparison with his current views. The findings led to the conclusion that in order to economizing his ideas about language, there must be an increased focus on words, therefore, his syntax-oriented view has been turned toward words.
