The goal of this paper is to investigate the power density enhancement of a 12/10 Slot/Pole Brushless DC (BLDC) motor which is considered with three different stator slot shape and two formation for Permanent Magnets (PMs), berried in rotor structure. By applying an accurate Finite Element Method (FEM), Power (Torque) characteristics of the proposed models is predicted. Average torque and torque ripple of each model are presented and compared. Power loss and efficiency is calculated precisely.
