The karyological data of Fritillaria assyriaca represents information in Avraman Mountain of Kurdistan is reported here with the basic chromosome number x=12. The new reported karyotype is asymmetrical and consisting of metacentric, sub metacentric, telocentric and sub telocentric chromosomes. According to the results of this study F. assyriaca is diploid. So that its karyotype consists of 24 chromosomes (2n=2x=24) whose sizes are between 8.36-30.59 µm.
