The influence of teaching grammar pictorially and Telegram based practice simultaneously on speaking abilities of Iranian pre-intermediate EFL

This paper is dedicated to the probe of influence of teaching grammar pictorially and telegram based practice on Iranian EFl pre-intermediate learners. Teaching grammar through describing attractive pictures as a kind of pedagogical tool in the form of inductive teaching is one of the influential strategies that can enhance speaking abilities. Because of the fast growth of technology on one hand and dramatically inevitable effect of technology on learners on the other hand, nowadays the young learners cannot tolerate the boring and tedious traditional grammar teaching methods in the class any more. In this regard simultaneous picture description rehearsal in the class and telegram based home practice because of its various attractiveness, can shed light on this problem. It is not only improves learner s accuracy but also after a while affects their fluency. To investigate this research a total of 100, 3th to 6th primary school students in private English Institute in Iran, take Fun Movers exam from which 80 homogeneous students are chosen and divided to two groups; 40 students in experimental group who receive treatment and 40 students in control group who receive traditional and routine instructions. Data analysis presents the significant role of using telegram-based home practice following teaching grammar pictorially in the class as an influential, magnificent pedagogical learning device on improving EFL learner s communicative ability.
